瓦西里·康丁斯基 Wassily Kandinsky

瓦西里·瓦西里耶維奇·康丁斯基，（1866年12月16日－1944年12月13日），出生於俄羅斯的畫家和美術理論家。康丁斯基具有聯覺（知覺混合）的能力，他可以十分清晰地聽見色彩。這一效果對他的藝術產生主要影響。他甚至把他的繪畫命名為「即興」和「結構」，仿佛它們不是繪畫而是音樂作品。康丁斯基被認為是抽象藝術的先驅。他還與其他人共同成立了一個為時不長但很有影響力的藝術團體「藍騎士」。康丁斯基的繪畫售價曾近一千五百萬美元。所羅門·古根漢美術館是康丁斯基作品的最大藏家之一。

康丁斯基出生於俄羅斯莫斯科。進莫斯科大學後，就讀法律和經濟學。1896年在慕尼黑學習繪畫（寫生，素描和解剖學）1921年到德國，從1922年在包浩斯開始任教，1928年加入德國國籍，直至1933年包浩斯被納粹德國政府關閉。此後定居法國。在1939年加入法國國籍，1940年法國被納粹德國占領。康丁斯基沒有選擇前往美國定居，在1944年逝世。

Kandinsky, (December 16, 1866 – December 13, 1944), was a Russian-born painter and art theorist.
Kandinsky had the ability of association (perceptual blending) and he could hear colors very clearly. This effect had a major impact on his art. He even named his paintings “improvisation” and “structure”, as if they were not paintings but musical compositions.Kandinsky is considered to be a pioneer of abstract art. He also co-founded a short-lived but influential art group called the Blue Riders. Kandinsky’s paintings have sold for nearly $15 million. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is one of the largest collectors of Kandinsky’s work.

Kandinsky was born in Moscow, Russia.After attending Moscow University, he studied law and economics.In 1896 , he studied painting (drawing, sketching and anatomy) in Munich. He came to Germany in 1921 and started teaching at Bauhaus in 1922. In 1928, he joined the German nationality until 1933, when Bauhaus was closed by the Nazi German government. After that, he settled in France. He joined the French nationality in 1939 and France was occupied by Nazi Germany in 1940. Kandinsky did not choose to settle in the United States and died in 1944.
