The 82nd Airborne Division is affiliated to the 18th Airborne Force of the United States. It is stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, USA. It is nicknamed “All Americans”. It has a staff of approximately 12,900 personnel. It is the only US military that can enter the combat area by parachuting. Fully-structured divisions have strong maneuverability, have formed a set of operational principles in long-term combat practice, and have strong combat capabilities. The 82nd Airborne Division usually conducts joint operations with the Air Force, which is responsible for air transportation, close air support, and air supply.
