中美洲国家多明尼加，曾经也在风灾中受创，慈济援助长达十二年，其中一位孩子席孟娜，志工可说是看着他长大，因为他就读慈济中小学，毕业后想升学，志工除了补助学费之外，还补助交通费，让他安心上学，如今四年过去，席梦娜从高职毕业了，志工也全体出动参加他的毕业典礼！

Moving northward to the Caribbean region, in the Dominican Republic’s La Romana Province, the Tzu Chi School, which opened in year 2000, gives first- to eighth-graders living in the impoverished communities a chance at a brighter future. For those who graduated and wish to continue their education, Tzu Chi also help make these children’s dreams come true.
