Taiwan ranks first in Asia and sixth in the world for gender equality. In 2017, Taiwan legalized same-sex marriage and became the first country who achieved it in Asia. During our first episode of Live from Taiwan, we asked foreign friends how they feel about Taiwan’s contribution to gender equality including LGBT rights. A friend from New Zealand shared his same-sex marriage situation which made him stay in Taiwan with his husband. Israeli lady said Taiwan women have power in society which means they appreciate equal rights more than many other countries. Our first episode will bring you unique views from different angles and let you integrate with Taiwan‘s unique multi-cultural society.
Live from Taiwan is a street interview program for TV and online platforms. In this format, show host Wu Feng asks questions about Taiwan to foreigners on the streets of Taiwan. Every episode focuses on one main topic about Taiwan and lets foreign friends share their feelings and observations about it, such as democracy, education, language learning, transportation, etc.
