美국무, 中에 ‘대만해협 안정 중요…中, 러전쟁 지원하면 후과’

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told his Chinese counterpart that maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan strait was vitally important,… while stressing that Washington’s long-standing position regarding the ‘one-China’ policy has not changed.
According to the U.S. State Department, this came from their 90-minute, “direct and honest” talks held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Wang Yi highlighted Washington should abide by the one-China policy.
Biden’s comment is America’s latest show of commitment to defend Taiwan, following tensions over the island in August when Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited the island state.
Biden also warned of “implications” if Beijing were to provide material support to Russian forces’ invasion of Ukraine.
