Scary flood sightings in Minas Gerais, Brazil. People in Belo Horizonte trapped in cars
Massive flash floods in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The rain caused several points of flooding in Belo Horizonte (BH), Minas Gerais. Many cars sank and were swept away by the swift currents of the flood.
On Wednesday night, 7 December 2022, the Minas Gerais Fire Brigade responded to several requests for help for residents trapped in the floods.
On Avenida Cristiano Machado, the car got stuck in the flood. The image, recorded at Bernardo Vasconcelos, shows a woman in a vehicle, holding on to a pole to protect herself in the middle of a flooded road. Video footage also shows the moments of the flood and chaos.
