Join Mind & Life for our online Inspiring Minds series that brings together thought leaders and contemplatives to engage with one another and the audience in exploring the role of the mind in human flourishing. At a time of profound global crises, the series looks at how science and contemplative wisdom can inform efforts to build a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world.

Each heartfelt conversation includes a guided meditation and artistic offering, and inspires us with a call-to-action to be a force for positive change. A recording of the event is made available afterwards.

Our April episode, “The Role of Attention and Awareness in an Era of Misinformation and Digital Seduction,” features Amishi Jha and Jon Kabat-Zinn, with cellist Barbara Bogatin.

On April 14 from 2:00-3:30 PM Eastern Time in the U.S. we learned about the inner workings of the mind, and how to cultivate greater attention and wise action in how we conduct ourselves individually and collectively. Topics that were explored included strategies for observing, rather than identifying, with the content of our thoughts, feelings, and patterned habits; mindfulness practice as an act of love, and as a tool for prosocial civic engagement
